On behalf of the Communications Department, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Navajo Code Talkers Day, a day designated in recognition of the more than 400 Navajos who were recruited by the U.S. Marines during World War II to develop and utilize a code that was used to transmit military messages.
While we are open today, we hope you take time to commemorate and honor the Code Talkers for their contributions and the sacrifices they made to preserve our way of life. For more information about the Code Talkers please review the following videos produced by our fellow TCU, Diné College:
