According to our spring 2018 graduate exit survey, 48% of Navajo Technical University graduates were going to enter the workforce, while 35% were going to continue their education (n=175). Of the 48% entering the workforce, roughly 26% already had a job lined up with nearly 93% of those jobs relating to their education and training.
These numbers can increase in the future if we collectively make it a priority to position our students for success. This includes going out of our way to find internship opportunities and making valuable connections with outside stakeholders. But also by encouraging your students to visit our Career Services Office several semesters before an anticipated graduation date and regularly attending our employment expos and career fairs.
